Apart from the Vienna lager, I’ve not spent a lot of time making German or Austrian beer styles. ?This is set to change. ?We live endearingly close to the Concordia Club in Tempe, NSW. The Concordia is the local German club and has some good German beers on tap. ?After taking my assistant brewer, Betty the Dog, for a long walk last weekend, we popped in to Concordia for a few refreshing beverages.One Paulaner Munich Helles turned in to two, which turned in to three, and inspiration struck. ?Time to make one of these suckers. ?Considering the fermentation fridge is sitting there doing nothing as my Belgian Tripel and Cleanup IPA ferment at room temperature, it’s time to throw down some lagers.
